The Lion King returns!
Tarzan mian ya, ah baba mian chihuahua~
After impatiently waiting for years, the time has come!
Just yesterday... As Rich and I made our way to the door (we were heading out for dinner), came the long-awaited call of the wild. I stopped, turned my head and stared at the Tv as wild excitement exploded inside me... The Lion King musical returns to Singapore next year June!
By then, Rich had reached the balcony and was waiting for me... Towards the end of the commercial, I hopped to him eagerly and pompously announced the arrival of the Lion King! He flashed me a somewhat awkward grin as I slid my feet into my flip-flops. "What? You farted?" I threw him a suspicious look as I sniffed the air for traces of his crime. "Mmm? Nothing what..." I thought nothing about his grin that came out of randomness and slapped him in the tummy as usual. We walked towards the door and he went banana for a while and confessed, "I bought the tickets".
HUH?!?! SIMI TICKETS?!?!
Of course, the first thing was to link it back to the Lion King musical... but wait... it can't be true! Why would he buy tickets to the musical? Did I tell him about it? How did he even know I want to watch that? How did he know about this before the Tv? Or perhaps I misheard him... he was going to buy it?
HUH?!?! NO! HE BOUGHT IT ALREADY!
So apparently, he bought the tickets to the musical while he was on his biz trip to Vietnam and it was meant to be a surprise next year. And... it was just unfortunate that WE have to walk past the Tv at the time the commercial was playing. I told him obviously it would be quite impossible to hide it from me since it will definitely be advertised on Tv right but his answer was really classic, "You got watch Tv one meh?"
True hor... I hardly watch Tv. HAHA!
So while we made our way to our favourite prata shop, he complained about how sian he was when he heard the commercial and he knew his surprise attempt would fail ONCE AGAIN... But babe, I WAS VERY SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT YOU HAD BOUGHT THE TICKETS! HAHA! Smart boy him decided to tell the truth after battling with himself 'coz there's a high chance I might buy the tickets to surprise him. Why so smarto! Rich also pre-empted me that he didn't buy the most expensive tickets... BUT OH COME ON... it's ALL about the singing that I look forward to! I don't need to sit right in front! Even the cheapest tickets would do!
So here I am... to remember this very precious moment that Rich could amazingly read my mind and successfully surprised me and honestly, I feel so spoiled by him and his love! Though it's happening next year June, I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT! LOVE YOU BIG BUTT CHIANG!
And now... I'm hearing the clanging of his keys to announce BBC is BACK HOME from work! Ta-ta! =D
